Consumers can now enjoy listening to audio from their home theater sources, anywhere throughout their home. Consumers can also enjoy audio from networked sources located throughout their home, in their home theater.
Designed to connect to any home theater A/V receiver or processor, TheaterLinX supports both analog and digital stereo (S/PDIF) audio inputs and outputs. Other connections include a 10/100 Mbps Ethernet connection (for connecting to a DigiLinX IP network), one sensor input, three contact closures, and power in (28VDC). TheaterLinX converts streams selected from networked sources (bitfor-bit) and outputs line level audio to the home theater receiver/processor. Conversely, the audio from the selected source of a home theater receiver or processor is converted into an IP stream and made available for playback on the DigiLinX network. The local audio output and the audio streams are complete synchronized, and guaranteed to be under 1ms between speakers or rooms - a key difference offered by NetStreams’ patent-pending technology - StreamNet.
