NetStreams, Inc. (“NetStreams”) has created this privacy policy to address the privacy of NetStreams authorized dealers, end users, homeowners, and visitors worldwide to our Web site (the “Site”). NetStreams recognizes that the trust of our customers and web visitors requires vigilant, responsible privacy protections. We respect the privacy of our customers. As a provider of IP-Based Audio, Video and Control hardware and services, we endeavor to maintain the confidentiality of every customer’s system installations. We also respect the privacy of our web visitors. The expansion of online services and changing technologies continues to create unique privacy concerns and we recognize the need to maintain the confidentiality of information that web visitors reasonably expect to remain private.
Where applicable, NetStreams will comply with the laws of other countries that contain mandatory requirements that differ from this policy. In selected jurisdictions outside the United States, a member of the NetStreams family of companies may adopt a separate privacy policy to reflect the requirements of applicable local laws.
This policy identifies the types of data and information we collect, how we use it, how you can control its use and the steps we take to protect it. NetStreams is collecting data for several reasons:
- To be able to assist and serve our dealers and their customers better
- To learn from our dealers so that we might build better products and services
- To provide our dealers with a community where they might learn from each other and grow the market for IP-based Audio Video & Control systems and solutions
What information do we collect?
- We will collect information to personally identify you and, if you are a dealer or distributor, your business.
- We will collect information regarding your end customer’s job such as project configuration, wiring diagram and wire test results.
- We may collect photos or videos (media) about your end customers’ job.
What we will do with the information you share with us:
- We will keep it private using reasonable means.
- We may use it in aggregate terms (without identifying either the dealers or their customers) to share with the dealer community and public statistics about the NetStreams products. For example, that the average number of zones is 10.
- We will use specific information that you provide us to help us assist you better and to help us build better products and services.
- Agents or contractors of NetStreams may have access to the information for the purpose of performing services on behalf of NetStreams. All such agents or contractors who have access to your information are required to keep the information confidential and not use it for any other purpose than to carry out the services they are performing for NetStreams or as otherwise required by law.
- We may use the information to alert you to product upgrades, special offers, updated information and other new products and services from NetStreams. NetStreams may enhance or merge your information collected with data from third parties for purposes of marketing products or services to you.
What we will NOT do with the information you share with us:
